On Saturday, February 10th, 2018, our PTO will host our BIGGEST & BEST, not to mention, our only major fundraiser of the year…BOOTS AND BLING!!!

 

PLEASE JOIN US FOR A FUN FILLED EVENING OF LIVE ENTERTAINMENT, DINNER, MUSIC, GAMES, BLING YOUR BOOTS & HATS CONTESTS, SILENT AND LIVE AUCTIONS, AND AN ALL-AROUND, BOOT-SCOOTIN’ GOOD TIME FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY!

 

 

 

INFORMATION

 

 

Dear Black Elementary Parents:

 

Fall is always a busy season at Black Elementary! The Black Elementary PTO would like to invite you to support our school by participating in and attending the largest and only major fundraising event of the year. Our Boots and Bling committee is in full swing planning the Black Elementary PTO Boots and Bling event that will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2018 at Black Elementary, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm. We plan to host an evening of family fun including dinner, games, bling your boots & bling your hats contests, silent and live auctions, along with live entertainment.

The PTO is excited about the possibilities this fundraiser can provide for our school. Our goal is to raise $25,000. Our PTO’s mission is to give the students, staff and teachers the resources to provide educational activities such as Cultural Arts events hosted on campus for every student in each grade to enjoy, materials and support that enhance and enrich our students’ education; including but not limited to, classroom needs, such as flexible seating, library enhancements, and technological advances.  In spite of recent events that have impacted our community, our PTO continues to strive to be able to provide these resources for Black Elementary. We are proud of our school, and we want to make it the best that it can be for our students & staff.

 

We are requesting your support with this Boots and Bling fundraiser by either donating items to the silent and/or live auctions, or by becoming an underwriter. If you, your extended family members, friends, or business associates are willing to contribute to this event, please see and/or share the attached paperwork.  Please complete the attached forms to pledge your support. Included are forms detailing underwriter sponsorships with their corresponding recognition and information related to silent and live auction donated items. Your contribution in either of these areas will ensure that our Boots and Bling event is a success.

 

The teachers and staff at Black Elementary will also be participating in this fundraising event. The PTO will be working with our staff to offer exciting activities and events for the students that will be auctioned off during the event along with other generously donated items from families and businesses. In addition, we will be assigning each grade level one theme and asking Bearkat families to donate specific items in order to fill one basket per grade level. These themed baskets will also be auctioned off during the event. Detailed information about grade level themes and baskets will be forthcoming.

It is our committee’s goal to have underwriter commitments in place by DECEMBER 15th, 2017 for acknowledgment in the invitation and program.  For those of you who are unable to attend, underwriting is a great way to participate. We would like all auction donation items in place by January 12th, 2018.  You, or your company, will be recognized in the program, and you will receive a tax acknowledgement letter for your generous donation. Black Elementary PTO is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.

Completed underwriter support and/or auction donation forms may be returned to your child’s homeroom teacher. Boots and Bling individual ticket sales will begin soon at a discounted price.
